Where will you be working?
You will be part of the M Group Telecom team, a key player in enabling and enhancing telecom networks across the country. The company specializes in delivering comprehensive network cycle services for fixed, private, and mobile operators. Your work will contribute to keeping the nation connected through the survey, design, installation, and maintenance of advanced telecom infrastructure. The role involves involvement in innovative projects such as private 5G networks, small cell deployments, and supporting the development of Smart Cities and connected infrastructure, ensuring the delivery of reliable, high-quality services to clients and end-users.

What will you be doing?
As a Project Engineer, your primary responsibility will be ensuring that all cell site installations and upgrades across our client’s mobile network meet the required technical standards. You will review upgrade plans meticulously before deployment, verifying design accuracy, assessing risks, and ensuring compliance with specifications. Your technical expertise will be critical in checking the suitability of designs and materials, ensuring every site upgrade is fit for purpose. You will provide technical back-office support to keep project workflows on schedule, maintaining high engineering standards throughout each phase of the project. Managing client relationships concerning technical issues will also be part of your role, ensuring clear communication and timely resolution of any challenges. Additionally, you will be expected to identify opportunities for continuous improvement, contribute to operational efficiencies, and help enhance overall project delivery performance.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, candidates should possess proven technical experience in project engineering within the telecommunications sector. A solid understanding of health and safety considerations specific to mobile telecom environments is essential. Candidates with knowledge of electrical standards and best practices will have a distinct advantage. The ideal applicant will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. Relevant qualifications in electrical engineering, telecommunications, or a related field are preferred, alongside experience with telecom infrastructure projects and technical reviews.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all cell site installations and upgrades adhere to technical standards and client specifications.
- Review and validate upgrade plans, checking designs, risks, and compliance with standards prior to deployment.
- Provide technical support during project execution, ensuring workflows remain on track and standards are maintained.
- Manage relationships with clients concerning technical issues, providing expert guidance and solutions.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of project activities, designs, and technical assessments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project delivery and integration.
- Stay informed about industry developments, emerging technologies, and best practices to enhance project outcomes.
