A Snapshot of Your Day

Join our Transmission Service Business as a Project Engineer, where you will play a vital role in supporting projects and internal operations across the UK & IE hub. This position involves both onshore and offshore projects, working with a diverse range of blue-chip international clients in the Power Transmission, Distribution, and Generation sectors. Your expertise will help maximise the long-term availability and reliability of their assets, ensuring a dependable energy supply for their customers.

How You’ll Make An Impact

  • Manage project governance, monitoring, and reporting to track performance and manage information effectively.
  • Oversee stakeholder and communications management, addressing their interests and managing conflicts.
  • Develop and control project budgets, monitoring costs and supporting funding submissions.
  • Manage project scope, including changes, assumptions, and constraints.
  • Collaborate with operations teams to ensure all projects are included in the resource plan.
  • Prepare and maintain schedules aligned with project delivery.
  • Identify and manage risks and issues, contributing to a comprehensive risk management plan.
  • Facilitate procurement processes and contribute to contract management.
  • Develop and implement a quality management plan, ensuring project assurance and continuous improvement.
  • Manage resources effectively, monitoring progress against plans and ensuring commitment acceptance.

What You Bring

  • Proven experience in project management within the energy sector.
  • Strong skills in project governance, stakeholder management, and communications.
  • Experience in budgeting, cost control, and financial management.
  • Ability to manage project scope and changes effectively.
  • Familiarity with risk management and quality assurance processes.
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills.
  • Willingness to travel to sites and customer premises as required.
