We are seeking a motivated and technically skilled individual to join our team, playing a key role in the successful delivery of high-quality projects. The role will include working across multiple college sites, carrying out routine and planned tasks relating to estate infrastructure, while ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
You will work closely with contractors, clients, and internal teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest professional standards.

What Skills Are We Looking For
- Proven experience in a plumbing role, including maintenance and repair across a variety of systems and facilities.
- Strong understanding of plumbing regulations, water safety standards, and health & safety legislation.
- Ability to diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs efficiently.
- Experience working within a multi-disciplinary estates or maintenance team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, contractors, and stakeholders at all levels.
- Competent in using digital maintenance and asset management systems such as Freshdesk, Smartlog, or similar platforms.
- Able to work independently, using initiative and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Committed to delivering high standards of workmanship and customer service.

Responsibilities For The Role
- Carry out both planned preventive maintenance and reactive repairs across college properties, including plumbing systems, infrastructure, fittings, and furniture.
- Support College installation and improvement projects, working collaboratively with internal teams and external contractors.
- Assist with sourcing materials and equipment, ensuring best value and cost efficiency.
- Work closely with other members of the Estates team and provide cross-disciplinary support, including assisting Electrical Engineering colleagues where required.
- Monitor and quality-assure contractor work when requested and support the management of the College’s water services contract.
- Identify hazards, faults, and defects, carrying out appropriate repairs or adjustments to maintain a safe environment for all College users.
- Undertake skilled maintenance and improvement works to enhance and upgrade the College estate.
- Participate in relevant training and professional development to maintain current technical knowledge and health & safety awareness.
- Carry out any other duties appropriate to the role and grade of the post.
The Location
The role is based at Nuneaton Campus (CV11 6BH), although travel to other sites is essential.
