Where will you be working?
At M Group Telecom, we’re enabling and enhancing telecom networks, playing a lead role in the delivery of our tech enabled future.
We deliver full network cycle services for fixed, private and mobile operators.

Sitting within the National Grid account, the CORS Project Engineering Manager leads technical delivery and assurance of Critical National Infrastructure projects, ensuring safe, efficient, compliant execution to design, regulatory and industry standards. Provides strategic leadership across projects including substations, upgrades and deployments involving Cisco, DWDM, telephony, CCTV, and power systems.
What will you be doing?
- Lead technical strategy, governance, and assurance across multiple projects.
- Drive delivery of compliant, high-quality engineering solutions, resolving complex challenges.
- Manage concurrent work packages, ensuring alignment with programme, cost, and risk targets.
- Identify and track interdependencies of projects.
- Lead and develop project engineers, optimising resource allocation and manage individual performance and HR related activities.
- Ensure all engineering activities adhere to quality plans, H&S legislation, and safe systems of work.
- Drive a proactive approach to risk management, ensuring technical, operational, and safety risks are identified and mitigated.
- Act as senior technical interface for clients and stakeholders, managing communication and escalations.

What you’ll bring?
Essential
- Extensive experience managing technical delivery in utilities, or project engineering environments.
- Deep knowledge of engineering design principles including an understanding of:
- Routers, Switches, Telephony
- Telecoms AC and DC power principles
- CWDM, DWDM, SDH, Carrier Ethernet, IP
- Proven leadership experience managing engineering teams or multidisciplinary project groups.
- Demonstrated success in delivering complex technical projects on time, within budget, and to required standards.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills.
- Eligible for SC clearance.
Desirable
- Experience within a Critical National Infrastructure environment is a plus.
- Background in design assurance, regulatory engagement, or technical governance roles.
