Project Finance Analyst
Life Sciences | Clinical Research | Finance
Location: UK Remote
Are you a finance professional with experience supporting complex projects within the Life Sciences, Clinical Research, CRO or Healthcare Technology sector?
We are seeking a highly analytical Project Finance Analyst to join our Client Finance team, partnering with Project Managers and Finance Leaders to drive financial performance, forecasting accuracy, revenue management, and commercial governance across a portfolio of client projects.
The Opportunity
You will play a key role in supporting project financial health through forecasting, revenue analysis, backlog management, project reviews, and financial controls. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional looking to develop their career within a global, project-driven Life Sciences organization.

Key Responsibilities
- Support project financial reviews, forecasting, and revenue management activities.
- Analyse project performance, margins, revenue variances, and financial risks.
- Partner with Project Managers to challenge assumptions and improve forecast accuracy.
- Support monthly revenue recognition, financial controls, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Maintain backlog and KPI reporting to provide insight into project performance.
- Contribute to pricing governance, commercial compliance, and process improvement initiatives.
- Deliver financial reporting and analysis to support senior management decision-making.
What We're Looking For
Essential
- Experience within a Life Sciences, Clinical Research, CRO, BioTech, Pharma, or Healthcare Technology environment.
- Experience in Project Finance, Client Finance, Financial Analysis, Revenue Management, or Commercial Finance.
- Strong forecasting, reporting, and financial modeling skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel capability.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to partner effectively with operational and project teams.
- A proactive and analytical mindset with strong attention to detail.

Qualifications
- ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified, part-qualified, or actively studying towards a professional accounting qualification, or qualified by experience individuals with Project Finance experience from Life Sciences.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Mathematics, Science, or a related discipline.
Desirable
- Experience working with project-based financial models and revenue recognition processes.
- Experience using Workday, SuiteProjects Pro, or similar ERP/PSA systems.
- Knowledge of project financial lifecycles within a regulated environment.
