Project / Framework Director
Our client is seeking a Project / Framework Director to provide strategic leadership across complex nuclear projects and programmes. This permanent position offers the opportunity to lead multidisciplinary delivery teams, strengthen client relationships and support business growth within a highly regulated engineering and infrastructure environment. We're seeking people with a strong background within the nuclear sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership across a portfolio of complex projects and programmes, ensuring delivery against client objectives, programme outcomes and business priorities
- Lead relationships with clients, delivery partners and key stakeholders, acting as a trusted adviser and senior point of contact
- Identify and secure new opportunities within existing frameworks and client organisations, supporting account development and business growth
- Lead the preparation of commercial proposals, pricing submissions and cost estimates in line with contractual, governance and framework requirements
- Provide technical leadership and assurance, ensuring solutions are fit for purpose and aligned with project objectives
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams across engineering, project management, design and delivery functions
- Drive programme controls, governance, risk and opportunity management, including compliance with NEC4 contractual requirements and change control processes
- Champion BIM and Common Data Environment requirements, while mentoring project managers, design managers and technical teams and promoting continuous improvement

Key Deliverables:
- Successful delivery of projects and programmes to agreed scope, schedule, budget and quality requirements
- Strong client satisfaction and the development of long-term client relationships
- Identification and conversion of new business opportunities within existing and emerging markets
- Robust pricing submissions, cost estimates and commercial proposals for complex programmes
- Effective management of programme risks, opportunities, governance and change processes
- Successful integration of multidisciplinary teams and compliance with contractual, regulatory and framework obligations
- Continuous improvement in programme delivery performance, efficiency and innovation
- Development of team capability through mentoring, coaching and knowledge sharing
Job Requirements:
- Significant experience in project, programme or framework management within the nuclear sector
- Demonstrable success in developing client relationships, securing new work and expanding existing service offerings
- Strong commercial acumen, including experience working with NEC4 contracts and managing change, risks and opportunities
- Extensive experience developing cost estimates, pricing strategies and commercial proposals for large, multidisciplinary projects
- Strong programme and design management capability, with an understanding of governance, assurance and risk management
- Sound knowledge of Building Information Modelling and Common Data Environment requirements
- Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence at all levels
- Degree qualification in engineering, construction, project management or a related discipline; professional accreditation or chartered status would be advantageous

Desirable Experience:
- Leading major programmes within framework-based delivery environments
- Supporting business development, bid development and strategic growth initiatives
- Providing technical leadership and assurance within a specialist discipline
- Working in highly regulated environments with established contractual and governance requirements
