Location: Grangemouth

Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Working Pattern: Monday–Friday | Hybrid – 4 days on site, 1 day remote

We are supporting a leading engineering and project services organisation with the appointment of an experienced HSE Manager to support a major EPC contract in Grangemouth. This is a permanent staff position suited to an HSE professional with strong experience across EPC, construction, process, petrochemical or other major industrial environments.

The Role

As HSE Manager, you will provide leadership and professional HSE support across the project, working closely with project management, clients, contractors and vendors.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as the senior HSE representative at project level
  • Advising the project management team on HSE objectives, planning and implementation
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant HSE legislation, standards and contractual requirements
  • Liaising with regulatory bodies and external agencies
  • Managing HSE statistics, reporting and performance monitoring
  • Conducting risk assessments and identifying appropriate control measures
  • Planning and carrying out HSE audits
  • Leading incident investigations, root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Developing and implementing HSE improvement plans
  • Promoting a strong and proactive safety culture across the project
  • Ensuring personnel receive appropriate HSE inductions
  • Supporting and developing members of the HSE team

What We’re Looking For

Candidates should ideally have:

  • NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent
  • NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in an HSE Manager or comparable senior HSE position
  • Strong knowledge of UK HSE legislation, codes and standards
  • Extensive knowledge of CDM Regulations, ideally within a Principal Contractor environment
  • Familiarity with COMAH, PUWER and other relevant UK regulations
  • Strong experience conducting audits and incident investigations
  • Root cause analysis experience
  • Experience within site-based, EPC, construction or industrial environments
  • Experience managing and developing others
  • CCNSG Safety Passport
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
