Role: Project Information Manager

Location: Hybrid, Glasgow, Scotland.
Employment: Full-time, permanent role with a competitive base salary and a range of additional benefits.

About the Client:

Our client is a leading developer and contractor delivering major energy, infrastructure, transmission, and offshore projects across the UK and Europe. As project delivery continues to expand, they are seeking an experienced Project Information Manager to lead project information management, document control governance, and coordination across complex infrastructure programmes. This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-profile project environment where effective information management is critical to successful delivery, stakeholder engagement, and contractual compliance.

The Role:

As a Project Information Manager, you will lead the project's information management and document control function, ensuring information flows effectively across programme teams, package managers, engineering disciplines, and external stakeholders. Acting as the key interface between project controls, document control, BIM, and project delivery teams, you will ensure that project information supports decision-making, programme milestones, and contractual obligations.

In addition to project delivery responsibilities, you will play a key role in developing and maintaining corporate information management standards, driving consistency, governance, and continuous improvement across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Document Control and Information Management function, including internal and external document control resources.
  • Manage the Master Document Register (MDR) as a live project coordination and reporting tool.
  • Coordinate information flows between package managers, engineering, HSE, consents, programme, and project controls teams.
  • Ensure document reviews, approvals, submissions, and workflows align with project milestones and contractual requirements.
  • Drive cross-functional coordination to ensure information is available, accurate, and accessible throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Translate project information management requirements into practical delivery-focused processes and actions.
  • Work closely with BIM and digital delivery teams to ensure alignment between Common Data Environment (CDE) workflows and document control processes.
  • Monitor information management performance, identify risks and resource gaps, and develop mitigation plans.
  • Support governance, reporting, and escalation processes for project information management activities.
  • Ensure the timely preparation, review, approval, and submission of project documentation to clients and other key stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain corporate information management standards, including folder structures, naming conventions, metadata requirements, and document management procedures.
  • Promote consistent application of information management standards across projects through governance, monitoring, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Conduct audits and compliance reviews to ensure adherence to company and project information management requirements.
  • Drive best practice and innovation in project information management processes and systems.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
