Our EMEA Practice is now seeking a Senior Project Information Manager to join our Putney studio, based in London.
About the Role
The Project Information Manager (PIM) plays a critical, strategic role in ensuring seamless information management across multiple projects. Working within a small, specialist team and reporting to the PiM/DC Lead, this position delivers efficient workflows, drives consistency, and ensures alignment with both client expectations and in-house standards.
Key Responsibilities
Project & Information Management
- Provide strategic oversight of project information management for a cluster of projects across the studio
- Lead escalation and resolution of complex or stubborn information management issues
- Develop and implement project-specific processes that align with client requirements and industry best practice
- Ensure uniform application of project and document control standards across the cluster
- Anticipate and mitigate risks, gaps, or inefficiencies in information workflows
Client & Stakeholder Engagement
- Be the primary client contact on information management matters
- Maintain clear, professional communication with all stakeholders, including project teams, consultants, and clients
- Provide actionable advice on deliverables and information delivery expectations

Team Leadership & Resource Management
- Manage a small team of Document Controllers operating across the project cluster (line management support from PiM/DC Lead)
- Organise resources, workloads, and leave requests to maintain smooth project coverage
- Identify training and support needs, collaborating with the PiM/DC Lead to address them
- Deliver performance feedback to document controllers, flagging success points, risks, and areas for improvement
Escalation & Governance
- Escalate major project or resource issues requiring strategic decision-making support
- Contribute to continuous process improvement across the practice
Hands-On Document Control
- Continue contributing at hands-on wrap level where team support is required
- Assist with complex deliverables and key project milestones
Key Requirements
Skills & Competencies
✔ Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills ✔ Excellent written and verbal communication abilities ✔ Confident stakeholder management under pressure ✔ Proactively identifies solutions and optimises workflows ✔ Manages multiple deadlines and priorities effectively ✔ Experience in mentoring or leading small teams
Experience & Knowledge
✔Proven track record in Document Control or Project Information Management within the architecture, engineering, planning or construction sectors ✔ Experience managing multiple projects or portfolios ✔ Detailed knowledge of information management standards and BIM processes ✔ Direct experience with client-facing deliverables or documentation
