Are you a document controller who knows Asite inside out and can hold a project team to ISO 19650?
That is the job. Not a BIM role, not a coordination role. Information control, done properly, on live projects that matter. Immediate start.
About Amodal
Amodal is an information management specialist for the built environment. We work with asset owners, developers, tier one contractors and public sector programmes, including Laing O'Rourke, British Land, UCL, UKIFS and Balfour Beatty VINCI.
We are a certified B Corporation, accredited to ISO 9001, 14001 and 27001, and we develop endev-o, our own information assurance platform. Our consultants shape the product, and the product raises the standard of information management across the industry rather than only within Amodal.
A team of around fifteen, working fully remotely.
The role
You will run the day to day information control on your assigned projects. You will report to one of our Senior Project Information Managers, and take day to day direction from the project manager on each assignment, who will often sit within the client or contractor organisation rather than within Amodal.
- Managing the document control process: naming conventions, metadata, suitability and status codes, revision control, transmittals, distribution and audit trail
- Checking information against the agreed requirements before acceptance or issue, rejecting non compliant submissions, recording why and chasing resolution
- Administering the CDE: user accounts, permissions, workflow configuration, metadata structures, onboarding and troubleshooting
- Applying the information standard and the methods and procedures in daily practice
- Producing information status, progress and compliance reporting for the project team
- Attending project meetings, reporting to the project manager and representing Amodal in front of the client and wider project team
- Guiding delivery teams and supply chain on the information management process, and delivering platform training where required
- Applying our tooling, including endev-o, in day to day delivery, and feeding practical experience back to improve it
- Contributing, under direction, to exchange information requirements, BIM execution plans and information delivery plans

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What we need to see
- Demonstrable hands-on experience of Asite, covering day to day use and administration. This is a requirement of the role and we will test it in detail
- Substantial document control experience on built environment projects, gained client side, contractor side or in consultancy
- Thorough working knowledge of ISO 19650, applied rather than recited. You know what good looks like because you have implemented it on live projects
- Command of QA procedure in an information management context: checking regimes, review and authorisation workflow, suitability and status codes, and handling non compliant submissions
- Strong written and verbal communication. You deal directly with clients, project managers, delivery teams and supply chain, and you need to explain a process, chase a submission and reject non compliant information while keeping the relationship intact
- Accuracy and attention to detail across high volumes, with the discipline to apply a process consistently rather than selectively
- Sound organisation, and the ability to manage competing deadlines across more than one project
