Project Lead | Space Technology | East of England

If you've ever looked at a satellite image and wondered how it got there, this is the team building the hardware that makes it possible.

Our client designs and manufactures imaging sensors used on space missions worldwide, from planet-hunting satellites to Mars rovers. With decades of heritage in the sector and a strong track record across a large number of missions, they're now scaling up several large, multi-year programmes and need a Project Lead to own delivery from requirements through to verification.

The role:

You'll be the technical backbone of a project. That means owning the requirement set end to end (gathering it, flowing it down to each engineering discipline, keeping the compliance matrix honest throughout), and acting as the main technical point of contact with the customer. You'll write the Engineering Management Plan, chair the major gate reviews, and manage risk before it becomes a problem rather than after. You'll also get involved in bid work, shaping technical proposals alongside the wider team.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

This isn't a role for someone who wants to sit in one discipline. You'll be working across mechanical, electronics, cryogenics and more, pulling together inputs from specialists and making sure the whole thing adds up to a system that actually works.
