Overview
I am seeking an experienced Project Lead to manage the final closure, commissioning support, client handover, and close-out activities on a major data centre project in Slough.
The successful candidate will take ownership of the final project delivery phase, ensuring all handover documentation, outstanding works, stakeholder coordination, and close-out activities are completed to the highest standard.
This is an excellent opportunity for a freelance professional with a strong background in mission-critical environments and data centre delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the project through the final handover and close-out phase.
- Coordinate all client handover activities across data halls and associated infrastructure.
- Manage and track completion of outstanding construction, fit-out, and external works.
- Coordinate with commissioning managers and technical teams to ensure all systems are fully documented and handed over.
- Monitor progress of ongoing hard and soft landscaping works and ensure they are integrated into the overall completion programme.
- Maintain project reporting, risk registers, and completion trackers.

Requirements
- UK right to work.
- Proven experience delivering large-scale data centre projects.
- Demonstrable experience leading project handover, close-out, and practical completion activities.
- Strong understanding of commissioning, integrated systems testing, and client acceptance processes.
- Ability to manage documentation, reporting, and completion programmes effectively.
- Familiarity with mission-critical environments and data hall operations.
