We are supporting a major financial services organisation on a strategic transformation programme and are seeking an experienced Project Lead to help deliver the integration of Life & Pensions monitoring into the wider Transaction Monitoring framework.

This is a high-profile initiative with executive sponsorship and an established Steering Committee. The successful consultant will initially focus on scoping the programme, defining the operating model, and developing a comprehensive delivery roadmap. Following approval, you will play a key role in leading the implementation through to production.

You will work closely with senior stakeholders across Risk, Compliance, Financial Crime, Operations, and Technology to define the strategic approach and ensure successful execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the scoping, planning, and mobilisation of the programme.
  • Develop and own the implementation roadmap and delivery strategy.
  • Work closely with the Steering Committee and senior stakeholders to define programme objectives and success measures.
  • Drive delivery of the solution through to implementation and production.
  • Establish effective governance, reporting, and stakeholder communications.
  • Identify and manage programme risks, dependencies, and issues.
  • Ensure alignment with regulatory requirements impacting Life & Pensions monitoring.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams across business and technology functions.
  • Track progress against milestones and adapt plans where required.

Key Requirements

  • Proven experience leading complex transformation or change programmes within Financial Services.
  • Strong project or programme leadership experience with responsibility for delivery from concept through to implementation.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with experience engaging senior leadership and governance forums.
  • Ability to translate complex requirements into clear delivery plans and roadmaps.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills.
  • Experience managing multiple workstreams and competing priorities.
  • Demonstrable experience working within regulated environments.

Desirable Experience

  • Knowledge of Life & Pensions products, operations, or regulatory requirements.
  • Experience delivering Transaction Monitoring, Financial Crime, AML, KYC, or Compliance-related programmes.
  • Understanding of Risk and Regulatory Change initiatives.
  • Experience operating within Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid delivery environments.
