About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Project Lead to oversee the delivery of major façade and building envelope projects within the data centre sector. This is an opportunity for a commercially minded construction professional with experience in façade installation, cladding, or building envelope projects to take ownership of project performance from handover through to completion. You will be responsible for managing project budgets, programmes, subcontractor labour, client relationships, and overall delivery, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and Health & Safety. Managing a portfolio of projects valued up to £10–15 million, you will work closely with clients, internal departments, subcontractors, and the Leadership Team to drive successful project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage allocated data centre projects, taking full accountability for delivery and performance.
- Manage project budgets, P&L, gross profit, and commercial performance.
- Develop and manage project programmes, ensuring key milestones and deadlines are achieved.
- Plan fabrication and installation methodologies to maximise project profitability.
- Coordinate subcontractors, labour allocation, site access equipment, and installation activities.
- Manage contractual compliance, scope changes, variations, and commercial risks.
- Lead weekly project review meetings, coordinating design, programme, and delivery activities.
- Attend monthly Project Review Meetings with the Leadership Team to report on financial performance.
- Maintain strong client relationships and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Identify and implement risk mitigation measures throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure the highest standards of Health & Safety and quality across all project activities.
- Attend client and site meetings as required.
- Maintain accurate project records, reporting, and workload updates.

- At least 5 years’ experience in a Project Management or Contracts Management role.
- Direct experience managing façade, cladding, or building envelope projects specifically within the data centre sector.
- Demonstrable experience delivering building envelope packages on data centre projects from handover through to completion.
- Experience managing project budgets, P&L, gross profit, variations, and commercial performance.
- Strong understanding of construction installation methodologies and project programmes.
- Experience managing subcontractors, labour allocation, and multiple project stakeholders.
- Previous experience managing or leading other team members.
- Strong contractual awareness and the ability to manage project risks and scope changes.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage competing deadlines while maintaining quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
