Job Description

The Project Leader will assist the Departmental Head to lead and motivate the team in the planning, conduct and execution of technical procedures for all studies carried out at Eurofins Alba Science Ltd. They will assist in managing project schedules, task details, preparing/checking study related paperwork and delegating appropriately. They must be able to manage change and take active leadership in timely decision making.

This is a full time role working Monday to Friday 09:00 till 17:00.

  • Aid with the smooth running of all technical studies.
  • Be a primary contact (in times of the departmental heads absence) within the Technical Team with regards to the day to day running of the department.
  • Assist in the supervision and training of all departmental staff and help ensure that training records and training programmes are up-to-date and monitored.
  • Liaise/assist the business development team regarding client enquiries.
  • Assist with writing, preparing and/or reviewing standard protocols and other relevant study paperwork for new studies considering client outcome expectations, data collection and analysis techniques.
  • Assist & organise study set-up and preparation.
  • Assist with ensuring that all test materials and other consumables are available for the proposed study commencement and to ensure satisfactory disposal of test materials on study completion.
  • Assist with ensuring that all aspects of the study schedule are adhered to and that results are available (to other teams) on time.
  • Prepare data for reporting and study files for archiving.
  • Assist with responding to QA audits throughout the life cycle of studies including study inspections, data, and report audits.
  • Conduct technical studies in accordance with relevant protocols.
  • Communicate regularly with relevant Project Managers/Senior Management and immediately on identifying untoward events.
  • Aid with communicating to external customers via email, phone and during visits to ensure the smooth running of studies.
  • Assist the Dept Head in ensuring the timely and full completion of the Eurofins Alba Science Live Clinical Database and Project Management System for studies.
  • Be aware of all activities of the department.

Qualifications

  • Awareness of GCP (Good Clinical Practice).
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities and shifting deadlines.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO, GCP and GDPR) and global cosmetic regulations (e.g., FDA, EU Cosmetics Regulation, ISO standards) is advantageous.
  • Scope of Clinical Research competencies.
  • SCQF Level 4 or above in English.
  • IT literate, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
  • Strong attention to detail to identify errors and refine documents for clarity and precision.
  • Attention to Detail.

  • Effective communication skills both written and oral.
  • Leadership qualities.
  • Ability to excel working in a team but also independently.
  • Good time management and prioritization.
