What You'll Be Doing
As a Project Leader (Sandwich Student), you will support the delivery of construction, refurbishment, and estate improvement projects across the Parliamentary Estate. Working within the Project Delivery Team, you will help plan, coordinate, and monitor projects from inception through to completion, whilst gaining hands-on experience in project management. You will engage with a wide range of stakeholders, contribute to business cases, risk management, procurement activities, and project reporting, and help ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This role provides the opportunity to lead smaller projects, support major programmes, and develop professional competencies towards chartership with recognised industry bodies.
This role is offered on a hybrid working basis, with an expectation of you spending 40% of your time in the office.

What We're Looking For
Candidates will need to be studying towards a Building/Construction/Technical/Surveying/Engineering/Project Management related degree.
(Please note that students studying for a non-technical degree or ICT project management course are unlikely to be suitable for this position)
- Demonstrates the ability to plan, prioritise, organise and solve problems effectively, understanding how these activities contribute to successful project outcomes.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information clearly and adapt communication style for different stakeholders and audiences.
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and proactive, with a commitment to learning, personal development, and taking responsibility for delivering high-quality work.
- Effective team player with strong interpersonal skills, demonstrating an understanding of leadership, collaboration, diversity, inclusion, and building positive working relationships in a professional environment.
