We are adding a Project Management Intern to our small team
We are adding a Project Management Intern to our small team to help manage a new engagement with our partner in London. At Pixel Systems, we do not build flashy consumer apps or marketing sites. We focus on the practical software that businesses use to run their day to day operations, like admin panels and CRM integrations. In this role, you will help us ensure that the tools we build for our London-based partner are delivered on time and meet the specific technical requirements they have requested.
About Pixel Systems
Pixel Systems is a remote software agency that builds tools teams actually use. We specialize in the type of work that others often avoid, including database migrations and connecting different software tools that refuse to talk to each other. We believe that working code is better than a perfect plan that never ships. Our approach is straightforward: we provide fixed quotes, perform weekly demos, and hand over everything including code, documentation, and walkthrough videos when a project is finished. We use reliable technologies like Node, React, and Postgres because we want the software we build to be stable and easy to maintain. We are a team of developers and designers who prefer solving real operational headaches over chasing trends.
The Role
As a Project Management Intern, you will work closely with our senior team to keep our projects moving forward. This is a fully remote position where your main task is to help bridge the gap between our technical work and the client's business needs. You will spend your time tracking tasks, updating project timelines, and ensuring that our developers have the information they need to keep building. A large part of this role involves assisting with our partner in London, helping to coordinate communication and ensuring that every requirement is documented clearly. You will also help prepare materials for our weekly demos, ensuring that the client sees exactly what has been built and how it solves their specific problems.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What You Bring
We are looking for someone who is exceptionally organized and enjoys keeping track of the small details that make a project successful. Since we are a remote company, you must be a clear and effective writer. You do not need to be a software developer, but you should have a genuine interest in how software is built and be comfortable around technical discussions. We value people who are reliable and follow through on their commitments. You should be the kind of person who enjoys creating order out of a messy list of tasks and feels satisfied when a project stays on schedule. Being able to listen to a client and translate their needs into a simple to do list is a skill we value highly.
Helpful Background
While this is an entry level role, there are a few things that will help you get started quickly. Any familiarity with the following will be useful:
- Basic knowledge of project coordination or task tracking tools.
- An understanding of what an API is and how different software systems connect.
- Experience using GitHub or similar tools to track issues or progress.
- General awareness of web technologies like React or Postgres.
- Strong writing skills for creating clear documentation and user guides.
- Experience coordinating schedules across different time zones.
- A background in a business or technical field of study.

Working at Pixel Systems
Working here is different from a typical corporate environment. We are a small team with no layers of management, so you will have direct access to everyone you work with. Because we are fully remote, we rely on written communication and trust rather than constant meetings. You will see the work you do directly help real people, such as operations managers who are trying to replace a broken spreadsheet with a functional database. This is a paid internship, and the pay is competitive for the market and the level of the role. We value your time and aim to provide a working environment where you can learn how professional software projects are managed from start to finish.
We pride ourselves on being a no drama workplace. We focus on doing good work for our clients and then signing off for the day. If you enjoy solving practical problems and prefer a straightforward, honest approach to project management, you will fit in well with how we operate. We are looking for someone who is ready to learn and contribute to the steady growth of our agency.
