Project Management Internship
We are adding a Project Management Internship to our team to help us manage a specific project for a leading London-based consultancy. Your work will center on organizing the technical tasks and system updates that this consultancy needs to keep their internal operations running smoothly.
At Pixel Systems, we do not build flashy apps or marketing sites. We build the internal tools, database connections, and admin dashboards that businesses use every day. In this role, you will see exactly how a software project goes from a list of client problems to a finished, working system.
About Pixel Systems
Pixel Systems is a small, fully remote software agency. We describe ourselves as the people who build things that actually work. Our clients usually come to us when their spreadsheets have become too large to manage or when their different software tools refuse to talk to each other. We focus on practical, stable technologies like Node, React, and Postgres.
Since we are a small team of senior designers and developers, we value direct communication and honesty over corporate fluff.
Every project we take on follows a clear process. We give fixed prices, we do weekly demos, and we provide thorough documentation. We are 100 percent remote and have been from the start. We do not have a fancy office or layers of middle management. Instead, we focus on writing code and building systems that solve operational headaches for our clients.
The Role
In this internship, you will help our team keep the London-based consultancy project on schedule. You will be learning the ropes of project management by coordinating the small details that keep a software build moving. This does not involve managing people: it involves managing information and expectations.

You will spend your time tracking the progress of specific coding tasks, helping to document client requirements, and sitting in on our weekly demo preparation sessions. We need someone to help translate what the client says they need into clear steps for our developers. You will also help coordinate the handoff process, making sure that when we finish a feature, the documentation and walkthrough videos are ready for the client to use.
This is a full-time, paid internship where you will be treated as a working member of the team from your first day.
What You Bring
You do not need years of professional experience for this role, but you do need to be highly organized. This position is a great fit for someone who enjoys taking a messy pile of information and turning it into a structured list. We are looking for following qualities:
- You have a natural ability to stay on top of details and deadlines.
- You can write clear, plain English without using unnecessary jargon.
- You are comfortable working in an environment where things are direct and honest.
- You have a basic understanding of what software development looks like, even if you do not write code yourself.
- You are comfortable working independently in a fully remote setting.
- You are willing to ask questions when you are stuck rather than guessing.
Helpful Background
While we will teach you our specific workflows, it is helpful if you have some basic familiarity with the tools we use to stay organized. This could come from university projects, personal interests, or previous part-time work. Broadly, we find it helpful if you have:
