Project Management Lead

Underwriting collective, part of PIB Group is seeking a Project Management Lead to join its busy team. The PM Lead will be responsible for the timely and successful delivery of project management support across Underwriting Collective businesses. They will lead the PM team, while taking on project manager responsibilities as required. The role requires the ability to build collaborative relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the business. Dovetailing seamlessly with the wider Transformation Change Team, the PM Lead should have the ability to prioritise, plan, and coordinate resources to deliver successful change.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Ensure scope is clearly defined and that project deliverables meet the business requirements and project objectives.
  • Develop and maintain the project plan from initiation to project closedown to ensure delivery within agreed timescales.
  • Draft Business Cases for projects where you are the project manager.
  • Proactively manage issues to resolution, initiating corrective action as necessary to ensure the project remains on schedule and budget.
  • Deliver effective change and configuration management through change control procedures and approvals.
  • Identify, evaluate, and document risks to delivery.
  • Identify and prioritize key stakeholder relationships, clearly communicating and managing expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Communicate regularly, confidently, and credibly. Understand the information most important to the stakeholder and present it clearly.
  • Lead the development and ongoing maintenance of the PM processes and templates, ensuring they fit seamlessly with UC Transformation Change and Central Change governance.
  • Deliver standard artefacts as defined by the project management methodology (RAID logs, Plans, Action Logs, Impact Assessments, etc.)

What We’re Looking For

  • Project management experience in a financial services environment, preferably Insurance.
  • Proven successful delivery of projects in a financial services or regulated environment. High-level experience working in a change management environment, preferably in a variety of situations.
  • Experience with insurance policy administration and claim systems, such as Acturis, Applied, SSP, or Aquarium Software.
  • Experience of providing mentorship and development to the team.
  • Project management methodologies and their application in a variety of environments.
  • Full project lifecycle in business and IT environments.
  • Proactive approach, comfortable working collaboratively and managing changing priorities and workloads.
  • Customer-focused with the ability to build excellent rapport with colleagues.
