PMO Lead - Salary: £85,000–£100,000
📍 Glasgow (Hybrid – 3 days onsite) | £85,000–£100,000 + Benefits
We're recruiting for an experienced PMO Lead to join our consulting client's team in a senior leadership capacity, supporting the successful delivery of a large, complex programme.
This is not a traditional Project Manager role. Instead, you'll lead an integrated PMO function, ensuring governance, reporting, assurance, and project controls are aligned across the wider programme. You'll be responsible for driving consistency, supporting informed decision-making, and embedding best practice across multiple workstreams.
The Role
As PMO Lead, you will:
- Lead an integrated PMO function across a major programme.
- Drive governance, reporting, assurance, and project controls best practice.
- Coordinate planning, cost, risk, schedule, and change management activities.
- Ensure robust programme controls and alignment across multiple workstreams.
- Produce high-quality reporting and insights for senior stakeholders.
- Support audits, assurance reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead, mentor, and develop PMO and Project Controls professionals.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
