Senior Project Manager / Senior Project Coordinator
Start ASAP - Contract to run up to major go-live date (01/11/2024), with possible extension of up to a month post-go-live if additional support is required.
📍 Remote Working - but must live within a commutable driving distance to Kent for onboarding days
💰 Salary: Negotiable
About the Role
We are recruiting on behalf of a client seeking an experienced and highly effective Project Manager or Senior Project Coordinator to join a key delivery programme. This is not a technical or IT-focused project management role. Instead, we are looking for a delivery-focused professional who can bring together multiple workstreams, manage dependencies, maintain momentum, and ensure successful delivery against an established plan.
The successful candidate will be a confident communicator and relationship builder who can engage with a wide range of stakeholders, ask the right questions, challenge constructively, and keep teams aligned on priorities and milestones.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive delivery against an existing project plan, ensuring key milestones and deadlines are achieved.
- Coordinate and align multiple workstreams, identifying risks, dependencies, and potential blockers.
- Maintain project momentum by tracking progress and holding stakeholders accountable for actions and deliverables.
- Facilitate effective communication between teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment and understanding.
- Challenge constructively where required, driving decisions and actions forward.
- Monitor delivery progress, assess impacts on timelines, and re-plan where necessary.
- Ensure clear ownership of actions, deliverables, and deadlines across the project.
- Build strong relationships across various stakeholder groups, creating collaboration and consensus.

What We're Looking For
Essential Experience
- Proven experience as an established Project Manager or Senior Project Coordinator.
- Strong track record of delivering projects against agreed plans, milestones, and deadlines.
- Experience managing cross-functional workstreams and complex dependencies.
- Demonstrable ability to monitor progress, identify risks, and proactively drive solutions.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Experience holding individuals and teams accountable while maintaining positive working relationships.
- Competence with standard project management tools, particularly MS Project.
Key Competencies

- ✅ Strong questioning ability, understanding what needs to be delivered, by when, who owns it, and whether delivery is on track.

- ✅ Strong organizational skills and attention to project delivery rather than technical solution design.
