PROJECT MANAGER

HS2 – Aylesbury
£75,000–£100,000 + Car Allowance + Benefits | Permanent

NEOS Engineering are currently recruiting for an experienced Project Manager to join an established engineering contractor working on the major HS2 project in Aylesbury.

This is a senior opportunity for an experienced Project Manager / Senior Project Manager with a strong background in civil engineering, earthworks or major infrastructure projects.

You’ll take overall responsibility for the successful delivery of major project works, providing leadership across programme, commercial performance, quality, health & safety and stakeholder management.

THE ROLE

As Project Manager, you’ll lead the delivery of major works packages from planning through to completion, working closely with the site, engineering, commercial and planning teams.

You’ll be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and commercially, while maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and key stakeholders.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Take overall responsibility for the successful delivery of project works across safety, quality, programme and commercial performance.
  • Lead and manage the project team, providing clear direction and maintaining high standards of performance.
  • Develop and manage project programmes, ensuring key milestones and delivery targets are achieved.
  • Monitor project costs, budgets and commercial performance.
  • Coordinate closely with Engineering, Commercial, Planning and HSEQ teams.
  • Manage client, subcontractor and stakeholder relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Identify project risks and opportunities, implementing appropriate mitigation and corrective actions.
  • Ensure works are delivered in accordance with contractual requirements, specifications and relevant industry standards.
  • Monitor progress and provide accurate reporting to senior management.
  • Drive a strong culture of health, safety, quality and continuous improvement.
  • Support the successful delivery of major earthworks and infrastructure activities across the HS2 project.

We’re looking for an experienced Project Manager with:

  • Proven experience delivering major civil engineering, earthworks or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong project leadership and team management experience.
  • A track record of delivering projects safely, on programme and within budget.
  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of project financial performance.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Experience managing subcontractors and multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, quality requirements and HSEQ standards.
  • A proactive approach to risk management and problem solving.
  • The ability to operate confidently in a large-scale infrastructure environment.

THE PACKAGE

  • £75,000–£100,000 basic salary
  • £608 per month car allowance
  • Lodging allowance where applicable
  • 8% matched pension
