About the role
We operate the UK’s ONLY flexible multi-temp, shared customer delivery logistics network. We buy, warehouse, pick and distribute the entire stock that goes into our customer’s stores across the UK, priding ourselves on quality of service.
We are currently seeking a Project Manager for an 18-month secondment role who will be responsible for the support and execution of projects and business change activity, working with the Business Change Manager and colleagues to deliver projects seamlessly to deadline and within budget.
This is a great opportunity to develop a range of project management skills and experience and learn about the wider Best and Group business. You will be supported and guided by the Business Change Manager developing in the role to take responsibility for your own projects.
You will be responsible for
- Execute and monitor projects through to a successful conclusion
- Manage stakeholders in delivering projects successfully
- Work to deadlines, within budget, and make decisions required to achieve project objectives
- Use analytical skills to identify issues, evaluate options, and implement effective solutions
- Build effective relationships
- Use project management software tools such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Develop a working knowledge of Project Management principles and approaches
You will need
Essential:
- Interpersonal and Communication skills
- Organised, disciplined approach with excellent attention to detail
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Needs to be tenacious with the ability to utilise initiative
- Experience of Project Management software tools – Excel, Word and PowerPoint

Desirable:
- Project Scoping, design, implementation and monitoring
- Project Management Certification or qualifications
- Knowledge of a variety of project management approaches e.g. Prince2, Lean etc
