Remediation Project Manager
Adrian Fisher Recruitment is recruiting for a Remediation Project Manager on behalf of a main contracting client. This is a hands-on, leading role on a remediation project in an occupied building.
You will assist with design coordination through delivery, and be responsible from lead-in through completion and handover. You will take overall responsibility for the programme, with a key focus on quality and safe delivery and a full understanding of cost constraints. Bring sound technical judgement and clear leadership to the scheme, with direct reports to manage when required.
What you will do
- Lead design coordination and lead external consultants and specialist subcontractors. Drive technical queries through RFIs and approvals so procurement is effective.
- Own the construction programme and lead the site team and subcontractors, managing sequencing, progress, workmanship and changes to scope.
- Plan safe works around residents and building users, maintaining access, escape routes and fire precautions while limiting disruption.
- Work with appointed duty holders under CDM and the Building Regulations, coordinating Building Safety Regulator requirements where applicable.
- Maintain the golden thread of photographic records for site safety and long-term evidence of completed works. Drive snagging information and certification through to completion.
- Oversee budgets, procurement, variations and cost forecasts for the commercial team. Keep clients, senior management and stakeholders informed.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
