Project Manager

Permanent | Hybrid, Preston 1-2 days onsite | Cyber Security | Agile

The Role

: We are looking for a proactive Project Manager to support the delivery of cyber security initiatives within a fast-paced technology environment. Working closely with Cyber Security, Technology, and Service Provider teams, you will help coordinate project activities, manage stakeholders, and support delivery across multiple workstreams. The role offers exposure to Agile ways of working, including sprint planning, delivery tracking, and stakeholder engagement.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to develop their cyber security project management experience, who is eager to get stuck in, confident working with a range of stakeholders, and able to proactively support successful project delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate Cyber Security project activities across multiple workstreams.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders and service provider counterparts to ensure successful delivery.
  • Support Agile delivery processes, including sprint planning, backlog management, and delivery tracking.
  • Facilitate project ceremonies and Agile ways of working using Jira.
  • Translate business requirements into deliverables that can be understood and actioned by technical teams.
  • Manage project plans, dependencies, risks, issues, and actions.
  • Drive progress across security initiatives through effective stakeholder engagement and proactive communication.
  • Build strong working relationships with both business and technical teams.
  • Support Cyber Security programmes focused on monitoring and protecting networks and devices.
  • Ensure stakeholders remain informed of progress, priorities, and delivery milestones.

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience delivering technology or Cyber Security projects.
  • Strong Project Management experience within Agile environments.
  • Working knowledge of Scrum principles and Agile delivery methodologies.
  • Experience using Jira for planning, tracking, and delivery management.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage confidently with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience gathering, understanding, and translating business requirements.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Self-starter with a proactive approach and strong ownership mentality.

Desirable Skills

  • Cyber Security background or understanding of cyber capabilities and controls.
  • Experience working with network security or device security initiatives.
  • Scrum Master experience or Agile coaching experience.
  • Knowledge of Cyber Security monitoring and operational security environments.
