Electrical Power Engineering Services (E.P.E.S) Ltd is a leading high-voltage electrical engineering company formed in 2001 and located in Heanor, Derbyshire.

The company specialises in carrying out HV & LV installation works for both new and existing high voltage systems as well as providing maintenance and network support.

The company is also able to offer the supply of new and refurbished Power & Distribution Transformers, HV and LV switchgear and associated equipment.

Our customers range from both private industrial sectors to public sector companies and utilities.

The E.P.E.S engineering team is highly flexible to meet our customers’ stringent demands, ensuring effective installation and maintenance of our customers’ networks on a 24-hour basis.

Our services include:

  • Project management
  • Cabling
  • Jointing
  • Maintenance
  • Testing and commissioning

Due to continued expansion, we are looking for self-motivated, experienced candidates for the following position:

Project Manager

  • Primary function will be the contract management and co-ordination of both new and existing project orders, but will also include assistance in the preparation of quotations and tenders specifically for the HV & LV installation and site projects offered by the company and the sale of such services.
  • Prepare estimates and quotations to clients for the range of works offered by the company.
  • Visit site, advise clients on scope of works and prepare offers and quotations relevant to required works.
  • Carry out installation surveys.
  • Evaluate equipment specifications needed for works.
  • Responsible for managing and controlling all aspects of HV & LV installation works, site installation, projects, maintenance and aftercare services.
  • The Role will include elements of site work along with office-based activities, which are required to support the company's site installation, projects & maintenance contracts.
  • Provide a point of contact for new & existing customers, giving technical help & assistance to ensure correct equipment & services are controlled, specified, supplied and installed.
  • Continually look at ways of saving money and improving profitability within the site contract control of each individual job.
  • Control the ongoing HV & LV installation works, project works, service, and maintenance contracts.
  • Look at ways of obtaining new project-related works, installations, and service contracts.
  • Assist the sales personnel with the marketing of all our products and services.
  • Target new business & develop the customer base for all products & services.
  • Attend site and provide technical support and advice to clients as required; this will include pre- and post-sales activities, i.e., quotations, Method & Risk Assessments, site access documents, lifting plans, etc.
  • Attend site and manage site teams, personnel and subcontractors engaged in project and installation works on behalf of the company.
  • Carry out Senior authorised person (SAP) switching duties, taking the highest regard for safety.
  • Liaise with management about ongoing and new project-related works, installations, and service contracts.
  • Carry out and control contracts in an efficient manner, giving regular updates on the progress of site issues.
  • Ensure that the highest possible standards of safety are always observed and adhered to, and in line with the company’s policies.
  • Always promote the highest quality standards.

Normal working hours are Mon-Fri 9:00-5:00 with 30 mins lunch break, but we do offer flexible working and times are subject to negotiation.
