Project Manager - Luton

Reporting to the Head of Projects as Project Manager, you will directly contribute to operational excellence by supporting the successful delivery of all projects on time and in full, on budget and in line with customer expectations.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage project portfolios by monitoring progress, budget, and risk while coordinating with Operational Management to ensure timely delivery within budget.
  • Track project performance against contracts and budgets, taking action to meet deadlines and margins.
  • Identify and assess contract risks and opportunities, implementing mitigating actions, as necessary.
  • Provide regular status reports and assist with formal contract reviews according to the milestone schedule.
  • Lead post-contract reviews to gather feedback for improving products and services and identify cost reduction opportunities.
  • Develop standardised processes and tools for project management to ensure quality and consistency.
  • Support bid compilation by assessing compliance, risks, and planning for project delivery.
  • Ensure adherence to client specifications and industry standards.

What you will need

  • Degree/Advanced/Higher Apprenticeship in Engineering, Project Management and/or equivalent job experience
  • Experience in project management at a manufacturing site
  • Strong project and risk management skills and knowledge
  • PRINCE2® Practitioner, APM PMQ, or equivalent would be desirable
