A leading construction and regeneration business is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join its growing social housing team. Working across Hertfordshire, you'll play a key role in delivering refurbishment and retrofit programmes that improve existing housing stock, enhance energy efficiency, and bring homes up to modern living standards. Your new role
As Project Manager, you will take full responsibility for the successful delivery of retrofit and refurbishment projects within occupied social housing environments. Managing schemes from pre-construction through to completion, you'll oversee site teams, subcontractors, programme delivery, budgets, and client relationships while ensuring minimal disruption to residents.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing multiple refurbishment and retrofit projects.
- Leading operational delivery, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, residents, and stakeholders.
- Managing site teams and subcontractor performance.
- Monitoring programme, quality, and commercial performance.
- Ensuring compliance with all health, safety, and environmental standards.

What you'll need to succeed
- Proven experience as a Project Manager within the construction industry.
- Strong background in refurbishment, planned works, retrofit, or social housing projects.
- Experience delivering projects within occupied or live environments.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Good commercial awareness and programme management capability.
- SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid qualifications are desirable.
- Full UK driving licence.
