Project Manager - MEICA Planned Works

We're looking for a Project Manager - MEICA Planned Works to join our Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control and Automation (MEICA) team based in Hatherleigh Office, covering Devon & Cornwall.

Location: Hatherleigh Office, covering Devon & Cornwall - Mobile across the South West region with potential to support wider parts of the business

Hours: Full Time - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

We are seeking an ambitious and motivated Project Manager to join our expanding MEICA team delivering Reactive, RIO and Planned works across the South West Water region. Working within the water and wastewater sector, you will support the safe, compliant and efficient delivery of a varied portfolio of projects ranging from planned maintenance and asset upgrades through to operational enhancements. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a hands-on role, working collaboratively with operations, design, commissioning and commercial teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions that maintain and improve critical infrastructure serving local communities.

  • Overseeing and supporting the delivery of projects from handover through to completion, ensuring they are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the required quality standards
  • Line management of Project Engineers, including performance development reviews, monitoring and scheduling workloads
  • Coordinating labour, materials, plant and subcontractors, and monitoring project progress against programme milestones
  • Conducting site visits, inspections and progress reviews, ensuring works comply with approved designs and specifications
  • Acting as a key interface between clients, operational teams, subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring efficient coordination across multiple concurrent schemes

What are we looking for?

This role of Project Manager - MEICA Planned Works is great for you if:

  • You hold an HNC/HND or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or related Engineering discipline
  • You have experience delivering engineering projects within utilities, infrastructure, manufacturing, industrial or process environments
  • You have a strong understanding of project delivery principles and excellent communication and organisational skills
  • You hold a Full driving licence
  • You can manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously with strong problem-solving and decision-making capability
