Clarke Welding Services Limited is a long established welding, pipefitting and fabrication company that supplies coded welders for maintenance support and new installation projects to many of the largest companies in the area.

We are recruiting a Project Manager to work with our site teams on sites across Norfolk and Suffolk, or in our workshop in Woolpit, Suffolk (IP30) on pipework and steel fabrication projects within the pharmaceutical, chemical, food, drink and other manufacturing industries.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Liaise with our clients to promote our company and generate leads.
  • Conduct site visits, survey and measure to produce material and job costings ready for quotations.
  • Produce and maintain plans for multiple projects detailing the execution, anticipated milestones and completion of awarded work.
  • Attend planning meetings at our client's sites and be the primary point of contact.
  • Arrange ordering of materials.
  • Monitor costs as the work progresses for future budgeting.
  • Management of site staff to ensure all work is completed following all safety, quality and environmental procedures.
  • Monitor and record the QA of completed works.

Required skills:

  • Project planning experience of multiple projects within constrained time-frames.
  • Experience with Primavera P6 or similar.
  • Some welding, fabrication, pipefitting and general engineering knowledge.
  • Some understanding of weld procedures, quality requirements and co-ordination of welder activities.
  • Ability to estimate times and duration for the different phases of projects such as pipework, access platforms, steel fabrication and other engineering works.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent computer skills and proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Understanding of technical and CAD drawings.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Desirable:

  • IOSH Managing Safely, NEBOSH or similar.
  • Level 3 apprenticeship, HNC, HND or higher in an engineering discipline.
  • Experienced with pharmaceutical or hygienic pipework projects.
