Team - Project Services

Working Pattern

Hybrid - 2 days per week in the Vitality Bournemouth or Stockport Office. Full time, 35 hours per week, 8-month fixed term contract.

What This Role Is All About

We’re looking for a Project Manager to lead the delivery of business change across complex projects and workstreams. The role will take ownership of project scope, plans, budgets and governance, coordinating teams across the business to deliver agreed outcomes on time and to the required standard. Working with stakeholders at all levels, the Project Manager will manage competing priorities, resolve delivery challenges and maintain clear control of risks, dependencies and progress.

Key Actions

  • Define project and workstream scope, delivery activities, timelines and outcomes, ensuring expectations are clear from the outset
  • Own and actively manage detailed delivery plans, coordinating multiple teams and workstreams to achieve agreed project milestones
  • Maintain oversight of project budgets, ensuring delivery remains controlled and aligned with the agreed scope and available resources
  • Build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels, providing clear communication and maintaining engagement throughout the project lifecycle
  • Identify and manage dependencies across concurrent workstreams, resolving conflicts and coordinating activity to protect overall delivery
  • Track progress against plans, challenge delays and use effective escalation where tasks, milestones or outcomes are at risk
  • Lead project reporting, presentations and workshops, translating complex information into clear updates, decisions and actions
  • Identify, assess and manage project risks, assumptions, dependencies and issues, ensuring appropriate ownership and mitigation are in place
  • Maintain accurate and timely information within project management reporting tools in line with governance and reporting requirements
  • Provide practical solutions to changing requirements while maintaining appropriate quality control across the life of each project

What Do You Need to Thrive?

  • IT or business-related qualifications, or equivalent professional experience
  • Strong knowledge of project management approaches, methodologies and wider industry practices
  • Experience delivering projects within Agile, Waterfall and strategic project environments
  • Significant experience engaging and influencing stakeholders at all levels within an organisation
  • Experience working successfully within a complex matrix management environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including project reporting and presentations
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Experience within UK financial services would be advantageous
