About the Role & Company
My client is a leading design and build contractor operating at the forefront of the commercial fit-out sector. The business delivers projects with pace, precision, and a strong emphasis on client service. Their integrated model brings together workplace strategy, interior design, project management, and construction delivery, allowing them to consistently produce high-performing office spaces for a wide range of clients.
My client is actively recruiting for a Small Works Project Manager responsible for delivering multiple small-works office fit-out projects, typically ranging from £350k to £1m. The role is fast-paced and hands-on, suited to someone who enjoys running several live schemes at once while keeping clients informed and projects moving. You’ll work closely with design, commercial, and delivery teams to ensure each project is completed safely, on programme, and to the standard expected of a leading D&B specialist.
Key Responsibilities
Project Delivery
- Manage multiple fit-out projects concurrently from pre-start through to handover.
- Oversee day-to-day site operations, ensuring programme, quality, and H&S compliance.
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to maintain smooth delivery.
- Review drawings, design information, and specifications to identify risks or issues early.
- Lead progress meetings and maintain clear project documentation.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
