Technical Project Manager – Data Segregation & Security

Location

London / Hybrid – minimum 2 days per week in the London office

Contract

Outside IR35 / 6 Months Initial

We’re looking for an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead a high-profile, enterprise-wide data segregation and security programme within a major UK media and entertainment organisation.

Following a significant business transaction, the organisation is undertaking a complex technology separation programme to logically isolate one part of the business from retained corporate and studio operations, ahead of a future divestiture.

This is a business-critical programme operating under significant regulatory scrutiny, with key audit and delivery milestones running through 2027. You’ll be responsible for orchestrating the delivery of complex technical controls across a large-scale Google Workspace environment, ensuring the organisation can meet its regulatory commitments while maintaining business continuity and protecting sensitive information.

This is an opportunity for a strong Technical Project Manager to take ownership of a highly visible programme at the intersection of cloud technology, cybersecurity, data governance, regulatory compliance and business transformation.

Technical Delivery Leadership

You’ll lead the delivery of a number of complex technical workstreams, including:

  • Restructuring a large-scale Google Workspace environment into clearly segregated organisational units.
  • Implementing logical boundaries between different business entities and enforcing appropriate access and contact-lookup controls.
  • Overseeing the migration and remediation of thousands of Shared Drives and associated ownership and membership structures.
  • Leading the implementation of data governance and security controls, including Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Trust Rules, automated labelling and permissions remediation.
  • Working closely with engineering and security specialists to ensure technical controls are implemented, tested and evidenced effectively.
  • Using data, reporting and platform activity logs to monitor delivery, identify risks and validate that controls are working as intended.

Programme Governance & Delivery

You’ll provide strong programme leadership while maintaining the flexibility required in a fast-moving regulatory environment.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
