Overview

WPS are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our Planned Maintenance team, overseeing the delivery of a significant social housing programme for Oldham Council.

This is an excellent opportunity to lead the successful delivery of planned works across occupied housing stock, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently and to the highest standards. You'll play a key role in driving performance, managing stakeholders and delivering an exceptional service for both the client and residents.

Key Duties

As Project Manager, you'll be responsible for the overall delivery of planned maintenance works, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and in line with client expectations.

Responsibilities Include

  • Leading the delivery of planned maintenance programmes across social housing properties.
  • Managing site teams, subcontractors and operational resources.
  • Monitoring programme delivery, budgets and contract performance.
  • Ensuring compliance with health & safety, quality and company procedures.
  • Building strong relationships with clients, residents and internal stakeholders.
  • Producing progress reports, forecasts and performance updates.
  • Identifying risks and implementing solutions to maintain programme targets.
  • Promoting a culture focused on safety, quality and customer satisfaction.

Experience Required

  • Proven experience delivering planned maintenance, refurbishment or improvement works within social housing.
  • Previous experience operating at Project Manager level.
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience managing multiple workstreams within occupied properties.
  • Excellent organisation, planning and programme management abilities.
  • Commercial awareness with the ability to manage budgets and performance targets.
  • SMSTS qualification (essential).
  • Full UK Driving Licence (essential).

Experience working directly with local authorities or housing association clients would be advantageous.
