Project Manager - On-Street EV Charging

Location: London / Hybrid
Salary: Competitive
Contract Type: Permanent
Working Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday

Drive delivery. Coordinate programmes. Help power the UK's EV future.
We're looking for a Project Manager to join our Ground Control Energy Solutions division, supporting the delivery of our rapidly growing on-street EV charging programme. Working closely with site supervisors, civils teams, local authorities and internal stakeholders, you'll play a key role in delivering the infrastructure needed to support the UK's transition to electric vehicles.

This is an opportunity to take ownership of multiple installation programmes, optimise resources across dispersed sites and contribute to projects that deliver lasting environmental and community benefits.

Why this role?

Be at the centre of programme delivery
You'll oversee the end-to-end delivery of EV charging installation projects, ensuring works are planned effectively, appropriately resourced and delivered safely, on time and within budget.

Coordinate multiple live projects
You'll manage installation programmes across multiple locations, balancing resources, resolving scheduling challenges and ensuring site teams have what they need to succeed.

Build strong stakeholder relationships
You'll work closely with local authorities, operational teams and internal stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and effective collaboration throughout project delivery.

Drive operational efficiency
You'll have the opportunity to identify improvements, streamline processes and support the ongoing development of programme tracking and reporting systems.

Support the UK's journey to net zero
Your work will directly contribute to the expansion of EV charging infrastructure, helping communities access cleaner and more sustainable transport options.

What you'll do:

You'll lead the planning, coordination and delivery of on-street EV charging installations, ensuring projects achieve programme, safety and quality objectives.

  • Plan and sequence EV charger installations across multiple live work programmes.
  • Coordinate site schedules to maximise civils gang productivity and minimise travel and downtime.
  • Monitor programme progress against milestones, proactively identifying and resolving delivery risks.
  • Maintain accurate programme tracking from work package receipt through to installation completion.
  • Manage and support site supervisors, ensuring clear allocation of sites and resources.
  • Oversee supervisor and civils gang capacity planning to ensure workloads remain achievable and balanced.
  • Act as the first point of escalation for operational issues arising from site teams.
  • Ensure installations are delivered in line with GCES quality, safety and compliance standards.
  • Carry out, or coordinate, site audits and quality inspections as required.
  • Monitor compliance with health, safety and environmental requirements throughout project delivery.
  • Liaise with local authorities and external stakeholders regarding programme updates and site-specific matters.
  • Produce accurate and timely progress reports for internal management teams.
  • Maintain programme records and documentation to support reporting and audit requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve delivery efficiency, programme visibility and operational performance.
  • Support initiatives to streamline and automate programme tracking and reporting processes where possible.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
