PROJECT MANAGER
Luxury Retail Fit-Out and New Store Construction
Salary: up to £75,000 per annum, dependent on experience
Location: Central London
Job Type: Permanent
Sector: Retail construction, fit-out, luxury fashion
About the Consultancy
A London-based retail project management consultancy delivering store refurbishment and new store construction for market leading high street and luxury brands, both in the UK and internationally.
The work spans concept stores through to international flagships, and the team is built around long-standing client relationships, technical depth, and a genuinely high standard of service.
The Role
As a Project Manager, you'll take responsibility for leading the delivery of store refurbishment and new store construction projects from inception through to completion.
You'll provide guidance and leadership to internal and external teams alike, including clients, designers, consultants, and contractors, holding the programme, the cost, and the quality together while delivering a market leading standard of service.
What matters most
Strong experience and knowledge of luxury fashion retail is the key requirement for this role.
You'll understand how luxury fashion brands operate and what they expect on site: brand standards and guidelines applied without compromise, close working with in-house and global design teams, high specification finishes, joinery, stone, metalwork, lighting, and visual merchandising, and the level of detailing and tolerance a flagship demands. You'll also be familiar with the practical realities of prime retail locations, including landlord and centre requirements, restricted access and out-of-hours working, and delivering around live trading.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
