Introduction

The Change Delivery team is responsible for leading both strategic and tactical change initiatives across Amwins Global Risks. The Project Manager will play a pivotal role delivering high-priority business and operational initiatives. The team delivers a broad portfolio of projects across Broking, Operations, Underwriting and Finance, ranging from organisation-wide broking and underwriting systems to team-specific initiatives such as policy administration or scanning tools, through to data analytics and reporting. Working closely with stakeholders across the organisation, this role will drive process improvements, system enhancements, and organisational change. Aligning with the Amwins Change Delivery Framework, this position will enable business transformation while ensuring solutions meet business objectives, improve efficiency, and support overall growth and sustainability.

Responsibilities

  • Project Management: Oversee the entire lifecycle of one or more concurrent projects with comprehensive planning and delivery to budget and scope. Create and manage key project artefacts including delivery plans, RAID logs, Azure DevOps boards, resource profiles, and budget tracking.
  • Delivery Leadership: Lead and manage the project team, providing guidance, support, and performance oversight throughout the implementation process.
  • Agile & Adaptive Delivery: Facilitate project delivery using the most appropriate methodologies (Agile, Product, Waterfall) based on project needs and organisational context. Lead sprint planning and execution as required.
  • Analysis & Requirements: Coordinate business analysis activities, working directly with stakeholders to ensure business and technical requirements are appropriately gathered and validated. Assist team to document processes and requirements where necessary to ensure technical implementations align with business needs.
  • Stakeholder Management: Support the Change Delivery Director and project sponsors by serving as the primary point of contact for stakeholders. Ensure clear, consistent communication regarding project progress, milestones, and issues.
  • Project Governance: Establish and run effective project governance structures including steering committees and working groups. Ensure that justifications for key decisions are surfaced and approved. Deliver high-quality reporting and manage risks, actions, issues, and decisions (RAID) effectively.
  • Change Control: Manage changes to project scope, requirements, and timelines through a controlled change process, assessing impact and securing appropriate sign-off before implementation.
  • Transition & Benefits Realisation: Support the transition of delivered solutions into business-as-usual operations, including operational readiness and handover to support teams and track adoption and benefits realisation post go-live.
  • AI-Enabled Delivery: Use available AI tools (e.g. Claude, Copilot) to streamline day-to-day project activities, including drafting documentation, RAID logs, status reports, and meeting summaries — freeing up time for stakeholder engagement and problem-solving.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
