Project Manager – Global Markets IT

London | Contract | Inside IR35

We're recruiting on behalf of a leading global investment bank for a Project Manager to join their Global Markets IT function in London.

This is a senior, highly experienced role, leading a workstream within a wider transformation programme focused on decommissioning a legacy booking system and migrating to an existing target platform — covering the booking chain end-to-end, front office through to back office and risk.

The Role

  • Own end-to-end delivery of the workstream, in line with budget, deadlines, and quality commitments
  • Cover OTC products front-to-back: Equity Derivatives (EQD), Interest Rate Derivatives (IRD), and Credit Derivatives (CRD)
  • Coordinate preliminary studies with the business/sponsor and ensure requirements are properly defined, validated, and technically feasible
  • Identify and manage risks, resource needs, and dependencies across contributing teams
  • Steer project progress and support governance transitions (architecture and investment committees)
  • Develop and implement the deployment plan, and manage transition into maintenance mode
  • Engage daily with front office, research traders, IT, trade support, and PnL stakeholders
  • Chair meetings and workshops with stakeholders

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
