Your new company

An established and highly regarded UK professional services organisation is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join its change and technology function on a 14-month fixed-term contract. Operating within a regulated environment, the business is investing heavily in technology, operational improvement and business transformation initiatives that support long-term growth and enhance client services.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager with experience delivering technology projects within a law firm or legal services environment who enjoys working closely with senior stakeholders and driving meaningful business change.

Your new role

Reporting into the change function, you will take ownership of a portfolio of technology and business change projects from inception through to implementation and handover into business-as-usual operations. Working alongside senior leadership, suppliers and delivery teams, you will ensure projects are delivered successfully, providing structure, governance and clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
