Higgins Coatings are a proud family-owned business, with a national presence, operating for over 75 years' leading the commercial painting industry. This is an opportunity to step off the tools while still using your trade knowledge every day to lead crews, solve site issues and support quality workmanship.

Reporting to our Branch Manager, this is a hands-on role, working across the Rockhampton region with local clients, trades and suppliers. You’ll be trusted to manage your projects, make practical decisions on site and build strong working relationships with the people who help us deliver quality outcomes.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Lead the completion of works for multiple, concurrent projects safely, on time, to contract specification, and to budget.
  • Day to day planning of resources and labour - both employees and sub contractors.
  • Job assessments, monitoring and cost control.
  • Represent Higgins professionally in the local market and strengthen our reputation through reliable delivery.
  • Keep clients informed and confident through regular, practical communication.

What's required from you?

  • Trade qualified painter with commercial experience.
  • Experience managing small teams of wages staff and sub contractors on concurrent projects.
  • Know how to assess budgeted hours and costs of projects.
  • Ability to complete documentation electronically.
  • Ensuring client satisfaction through high levels of written and verbal communication.
