A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Project Manager
Join the property team of a well-established, family-owned business with a much-loved estate across the North West. Based from their Head Office in Stockport, you’ll take the lead on a varied portfolio of refurbishment, development, and capital investment projects across a diverse estate — from destination pubs and hospitality spaces to brewery, production, and head office facilities.
This is a genuinely hands-on role where you’ll have ownership from initial brief and feasibility through to completion, working closely with internal stakeholders, consultants, and contractors to deliver projects that balance commercial performance, quality, and the character of the existing estate.
If you enjoy variety, working across different types of property, and seeing projects come to life, this is a great opportunity to make a visible impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead refurbishment, development, and capital investment projects from concept through to completion.
- Develop project briefs, budgets, programmes, and delivery strategies.
- Manage external consultants, contractors, and professional advisers throughout the project lifecycle.
- Take ownership of project budgets, cost management, change control, and value engineering.
- Coordinate planning, Building Regulations, CDM, and other statutory requirements.
- Monitor programme, quality, cost, and risk, ensuring projects are delivered safely and effectively.
- Build strong relationships with internal teams and stakeholders, ensuring projects support wider business objectives.
- Manage projects within live operational and trading environments, minimising disruption wherever possible.
- Provide clear project reporting, maintaining accurate governance and documentation.
- Identify potential risks and issues early and take a proactive approach to resolving them.
- Help shape the ongoing investment and development of a diverse property portfolio.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
