Location: Mobile - Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea
Hours Per Week: Monday - Friday, 40 Hours
Job Type: Permanent / Full Time
The Project Manager Will
- Undertake the management of all site staff
- Drive planning of project
- Tender on projects from inception to completion
- Manage and control all project resources
- Be responsible for the overall management of the project
- Ensure all Company Procedures are being complied with
- Ensure all Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Management Procedures are followed
- Be responsible for achieving high standards of quality and workmanship on site
- Ensure that all aspects of the project are effectively monitored and controlled
- Deliver project within programme and budget
- Ensure adherence to site-specific project protocol and procedures
- Manage and monitor subcontractors
- Communicate effectively with the project management team
- Liaise with client and designers
- Attend and chair regular project progress meetings and compile progress reports for presentation to the Client
- Attend and chair regular sub-contractor meetings as required
- Compile and distribute project meeting minutes
- Maintain contractual records of all project-related matters
- Attend and provide input on regular contract meetings with the Client
- Introduce improvements and innovations where appropriate
- Control contract costs
- Positively promote the company wherever and whenever possible
- Compile and submit O&M manuals upon project completion

This job description is intended to give the post holder an appreciation of the role envisaged for the job title and the range of duties to be undertaken. It does not attempt to detail every activity. Specific tasks and objectives will be agreed with the post holder at regular intervals.
About You
Essential Criteria
- Demonstrable experience managing refurbishment, fit-out, and minor works projects from inception through to completion.
- Proven ability to deliver multiple concurrent projects across building fabric, mechanical, and electrical disciplines with values up to £1 million.
- Strong understanding of construction project management principles including planning, programming, risk management, cost control, and stakeholder management.
- IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH Construction Certificate.
- Demonstrable knowledge and practical application of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations (CDM), including management of contractor compliance, RAMS, permits, and site safety.
- Experience in preparing project scopes, specifications, tender documentation, and managing procurement activities through award and delivery.
- Good technical understanding of building fabric, mechanical, and electrical systems, enabling effective management of refurbishment and lifecycle projects.
- Ability to manage project budgets, monitor financial performance, administer change control, and contribute to final account agreements.
- Experience of contractor and supply chain management, including performance monitoring, quality assurance, and programme delivery.
- Ability to develop, manage, and report project programmes using Microsoft Project or equivalent planning software.
- Strong knowledge of statutory compliance, Building Regulations, fire safety requirements, and industry standards relevant to refurbishment works.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage effectively with clients, consultants, contractors, and senior management.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to produce clear project reports, business cases, progress updates, and executive-level presentations.
- Full understanding of project governance, quality management, commissioning, and handover requirements.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites as required.

Technical Criteria
- NVQ Level 6 (or equivalent) in Construction Management, Building Services, or a related discipline.
- SMSTS Certificate.
- CSCS Black Manager Card.
- Professional membership such as MCIOB, MAPM, or equivalent.
- Knowledge and experience of NEC4 contracts and contract administration.
- Knowledge of Building Regulations, Building Safety, and compliance management.
- Experience working within Facilities Management, Public Sector, or Healthcare environments.
- PRINCE2 Practitioner, APM PMQ, or equivalent project management qualification.
- IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH Construction Certificate.
- Experience managing live operational environments while delivering refurbishment and improvement works.
- Understanding of HVAC, electrical distribution, fire systems, BMS controls, and lifecycle replacement projects.
- Experience with condition surveys, asset management, and lifecycle planning.
