Are you an experienced Project Manager looking to lead complex infrastructure projects and make a real impact?
Join our Infrastructure Programme and play a key role in delivering projects that support one of the UK's most significant decommissioning missions.
The Infrastructure Programme is seeking Project Managers to support the development and delivery of a varied portfolio of projects supporting the site's ongoing operational and future infrastructure requirements. The programme includes projects of differing scale, complexity and maturity across areas such as estate infrastructure, security, accommodation, engineering and Operational & Information technology, ranging from major investment projects to smaller improvement and asset replacement schemes.
What Will You Be Doing
As a Project Manager, you'll be responsible for the successful development and delivery of assigned projects, providing leadership across governance, project controls, stakeholder engagement and contract management activities. You'll work closely with internal teams, consultants, suppliers and contractors to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to time, cost and quality expectations.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Managing projects through the full project lifecycle, from development to implementation.
- Leading project governance, assurance and investment sanction activities.
- Managing consultants, contractors and suppliers to achieve project objectives.
- Monitoring project performance and providing clear reporting to stakeholders.
- Lead Dounreay staff as a line manager as per project requirements.

Who Are We Looking For
We're looking for experienced Project Managers with a proven track record of delivering projects within a structured project management environment. You'll have strong project controls knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while building effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
To Be Successful, You'll Be Able To Demonstrate
- HND in Science/Engineering or equivalent qualifications plus experience
- Experience delivering projects within a structured project management environment.
- Strong understanding of project controls, including scope, cost, schedule, risk, change and performance management.
- Experience managing consultants, suppliers and contractors, including contract administration.
- Knowledge of business case development, governance, assurance and investment sanction processes.
- Experience in engineering, design and project development lifecycle
- Experience gathering, analysing and presenting project information and performance data to support governance, reporting and decision-making.
- Experience managing relationships with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders, including regulators and delivery partners.
- Post specific physical capability analysis assessment
