Thorn Baker is working with an award-winning regional contractor that has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality retail, leisure and commercial fit-out projects across the UK. The business is known for investing in its people, encouraging new ideas and maintaining a collaborative culture where quality and teamwork are at the heart of everything they do.
Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Project Manager to join their team in Lichfield.
The Role
Reporting to the Contracts Director, you will be responsible for delivering fast-track fit-out and refurbishment projects valued between £100k and £1m. You will oversee projects from pre-start through to completion, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day delivery of retail fit-out and refurbishment projects.
- Lead and coordinate site teams, subcontractors and suppliers.
- Develop and monitor project programmes.
- Manage project resources, including labour and materials.
- Attend and lead pre-start, progress and client meetings.
- Maintain strong client relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure projects meet health & safety, quality and commercial objectives.
- Liaise with internal departments to ensure smooth project delivery.
About You
- Previous experience as a Project Manager within retail fit-out, refurbishment or fast-track construction.
- Strong understanding of retail, leisure and commercial fit-out projects.
- SMSTS, CSCS Card and Asbestos Awareness certification.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Proficient in Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent organisational, communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and deliver projects to tight deadlines.
