Warner Hotels Technology & Transformation Portfolio Project Manager

Warner Hotels is running a technology portfolio of significant scale and ambition — commercial digital products, infrastructure transformation, data platform expansion, and corporate application programmes — and needs experienced project managers who can drive delivery end-to-end with genuine pace and rigour.

Candidates should take the time to read all the elements of this job advert carefully. Please make your application promptly.

There are two Project Manager roles within the Technology & Transformation Portfolio team. Each Project Manager owns delivery of a set of technology projects within the portfolio — managing from project initiation through to successful business go-live, ensuring plans are current, risks are managed, stakeholders are engaged, and delivery teams are held accountable to commitments.

Warner's approach to project management is deliberately lean — governance that is rigorous without being bureaucratic, and pace without sacrificing quality. The Project Manager is expected to be pragmatic, delivery-focused, and comfortable operating in an environment where not all processes are fully established.

Key Responsibilities

End-to-End Project Delivery

  • Own delivery of assigned technology projects from initiation through to go-live and benefits realisation — managing scope, plan, risks, issues, dependencies, and budget.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, RAID logs, and status reports in accordance with Warner's portfolio governance framework.
  • Hold delivery teams — internal engineering, application analysts, and external partners — accountable to committed timelines and quality standards.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Stakeholder Management

  • Manage project stakeholders across technology and business — translating technical delivery complexity into clear, business-language communication.
  • Produce clear, accurate project status updates for the portfolio review cadence and governance forums.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations proactively — escalating issues early and proposing solutions rather than just flagging problems.

Risk & Issue Management

  • Maintain project RAID logs — identifying, assessing, and managing risks and issues throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Escalate risks and blockers to the Head of Technology & Transformation Portfolio before they become delivery-critical.

Ways of Working

  • Apply appropriate delivery methodology for each project — waterfall, agile, or hybrid — in alignment with the portfolio governance framework.
  • Work closely with Business Analysts to ensure requirements are clearly defined before development begins and that testing is appropriately governed.

You'll Also Need

  • Project management experience: PRINCE2, PMP, or equivalent. Agile familiarity (Scrum, Kanban) preferred.
  • Delivery tooling: Jira, Confluence, MS Project, or equivalent.
  • Technology project experience: infrastructure, applications, or digital/data delivery.
  • Budget tracking and financial reporting for projects.
  • Risk and dependency management across multi-workstream delivery.
  • A Delivery-First PM: You drive projects to completion — you don't just track them.
  • A Clear Communicator: Stakeholders always know where projects stand because you tell them proactively.
  • Comfortable with Ambiguity: You can operate effectively in environments where not everything is defined yet.
  • An Accountable Leader: You hold yourself and delivery teams to commitments — and create a culture where delivery discipline is the norm.
