Role Overview and Core Responsibilities

This includes application-processing and behavioural-scoring solutions delivered to agreed quality, schedule, scope and budget expectations.
Day to Day You’ll Be:
- Lead internal and client-facing software-delivery projects throughout the full project lifecycle, ensuring agreed scope, quality, schedule and budget expectations are met.
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, governance documentation and supporting records that provide clear oversight of delivery activities.
- Monitor progress against agreed plans and provide accurate, timely reporting to clients, TransUnion stakeholders and third-party providers.
- Chair project meetings and client workshops, ensuring decisions, actions, dependencies and responsibilities are clearly documented and followed through.
- Identify, assess and manage project risks, issues and dependencies, coordinating root-cause analysis and effective remediation plans with relevant teams.
- Manage internal, client and third-party stakeholder relationships, maintaining clear communication and alignment on project scope, priorities and expected outcomes.
- Lead and motivate cross-functional project teams, creating shared accountability for quality, delivery and client outcomes.
- Manage scope and change-control activities, evaluating delivery impacts and communicating changes to the appropriate stakeholders.
- Support the successful transition of implemented solutions into ongoing operations, ensuring outstanding actions, documentation and support requirements are clearly understood.
Required Knowledge and Experiences
- Proven experience project managing software deliveries within the financial-services sector, with responsibility for schedule, scope, quality and budget.
- Experience leading cross-functional project teams and managing client, internal and third-party stakeholder relationships.
- Experience applying a defined project-management methodology to plan, control and report on software-delivery projects.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes, coordinate permanent resolutions and recover delivery following setbacks.
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and deliver within defined deadlines with minimal supervision.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
