CONTRACT PROJECT MANAGER - DISTRIBUTION CHANGE

Global Asset Manager | London

Contract length: 6 months initial
Day rate: £750 - £850 per day
Business area: Business Management team

THE OPPORTUNITY

A leading global asset manager is looking for an experienced Project Manager to join its International Distribution Business Management team on a 6-month contract. Distribution is a key part of the firm's global growth strategy and is going through a period of rapid investment and expansion. The contractor will add capacity to the team, help the General Manager deliver a busy portfolio of projects and build a sustainable change management framework for the function. The role offers wide exposure to senior leadership.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Run end-to-end project management: planning, reporting, risk and issue tracking, budgets and stakeholder alignment.
  • Drive communication between technology, business stakeholders and programme leadership, with regular executive updates.
  • Maintain project documentation in SharePoint and other enterprise tools.
  • Break down complex problems into workstreams and lead cross-department teams to delivery.
  • Design and embed a systematic change management approach, including governance and portfolio tracking.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders, including the Transformation Office.

PROJECT PORTFOLIO

  • Proposition development and commercialisation: taking new client propositions to market, including product design, technology delivery and vendor management.
  • Strategic partnership implementation and governance: delivering external partnerships across product launches, client onboarding and operating model design.
  • International product and service development: piloting solutions for emerging client demand across multiple markets.
  • Sales enablement and data access: building tools that give sales teams better access to client and business data.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Asset management experience, with knowledge of asset management products and vehicles.
  • Previous experience in a similar project management role, with a track record of establishing and executing change management processes.
  • Strong interpersonal, influencing and relationship management skills.
  • Able to manage shifting priorities independently in a demanding environment.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to turn data into a clear story for senior managers.
  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
