Job Description: Project Manager / Business Analyst

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Project Manager / Business Analyst to work for our client within the Financial Services sector. This is initially a 12-month contract with the potential to extend and will be a hybrid role based in London.

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager / Business Analyst to join their Client Fulfilment Change team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading complex strategic, regulatory, remediation, and business transformation initiatives across the client fulfilment function. This role combines strong project delivery expertise with business analysis capability, working closely with stakeholders across Operations, Technology, Risk, Compliance, Legal, and business teams to deliver meaningful business outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead medium to large-scale strategic, regulatory, remediation, and transformation initiatives across the Client Fulfilment division.
  • Define project scope, delivery plans, timelines, milestones, dependencies, and target outcomes.
  • Analyse, document, and validate business requirements, ensuring alignment between business needs and delivery objectives.
  • Facilitate workshops and stakeholder discussions to assess current state processes and define future state operating models.
  • Coordinate delivery activities across business, operations, technology, risk, compliance, legal, and support functions.
  • Identify, track, and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Prepare and present project updates, recommendations, and status reports to stakeholders and governance forums.
  • Support solution design, implementation, and continuous improvement initiatives, including process simplification and automation opportunities.
  • Ensure all delivery activities align with governance standards, regulatory requirements, and audit expectations.
  • Build effective relationships with stakeholders across Client Services, Financial Crime Risk, Compliance, Legal, Operations, Data, and Technology teams.

About You

  • 7 to 10 years' experience delivering strategic transformation, regulatory change, remediation programs, and business change initiatives within Financial Services.
  • Proven experience working as a Project Manager, Business Analyst, or in a hybrid PM/BA capacity on complex front-to-back change programs.
  • Strong understanding of business processes, controls, operating models, and change delivery methodologies.
  • Experience working with stakeholders across Operations, Technology, Risk, Compliance, Legal, and business functions.
  • Strong requirements gathering, process mapping, and business analysis skills, including current state and target state assessments.
  • Experience facilitating workshops, stakeholder interviews, and governance forums.
  • Excellent project planning, risk management, issue management, and reporting capabilities.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
  • Experience using project delivery and documentation tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
  • Knowledge of Client Onboarding, KYC, AML, Client Lifecycle Management, Financial Crime Risk, or regulatory remediation programs would be highly advantageous.
  • Exposure to data transformation, target operating model design, process improvement, and automation initiatives is desirable.
  • Experience within Investment Banking, Capital Markets, Commodities Trading, or a related Financial Services environment is preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years' experience in project delivery, business analysis, and change management within Financial Services.
