Travel: 75–100% onsite during project deployment

Role Overview

The role will act as the primary onsite point of contact for the UK Field Engineering team during the deployment of engineering solutions across existing delivery stations and new greenfield launches within the UK and Ireland network. Projects will include the deployment of Matrix, ADTFs, ADTAs, ASLs, Tippers, retrofits, and other engineering solutions. The role will support project planning, onsite execution, stakeholder coordination, site acceptance testing, and project close-out.


Key Responsibilities

Project Planning

  • Conduct field verification of drawings and identify potential interferences with existing or new equipment.
  • Raise MCMs for different project phases.
  • Address concerns raised by relevant approver groups prior to the commencement of onsite works.

  • Set up and manage daily calls with vendors, Operations, WHS, and RME.
  • Provide daily project summary reports to the UK Field Engineering Project Manager.
  • Conduct site visits to verify project progress and gather stakeholder/customer feedback.
  • Proactively address concerns identified during site visits and escalate to the UK Field Engineering Project Manager where required.
  • Manage Logistics-ordered materials, including signage, racking, and SBL, ensuring materials are received onsite, inventoried, and any gaps are identified.
  • Coordinate with Operations and RME regarding the movement of materials within the delivery station and with 3PA for labour supporting material movement and installation.
  • Coordinate with IT to obtain IDF keys and monitor IDF cabinets during data cable terminations.
  • Validate cable installation and functionality with IT.
  • Support the UK Field Engineering Project Manager during site acceptance testing, requiring approximately 4–5 days of continuous onsite presence.

Project Closure

  • Obtain required project documentation from vendors and validate documentation against agreed vendor deliverables.
  • Perform basic document validation, including confirming that Declarations of Conformity are signed and the correct delivery station name is recorded.
  • Transfer completed project documentation to the appropriate storage locations, including My MHE+ and automation software storage drives.

Basic Qualifications

  • Working experience within Industrial, Mechanical, Process Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Working experience as a Project Manager delivering medium-complexity projects.
  • Proficiency in:
    • AutoCAD
    • Microsoft Project
    • Microsoft Excel

Working Environment

  • Onsite presence required for 75–100% of project deployment activities.
  • Projects may be located at any delivery station across the UK and Ireland.
  • Role involves supporting both existing delivery stations and new greenfield launches.
