Project Manager - New Business Projects Transformation | 12 Month FTC | Circa £60,000 DOE

The Role

We're looking for a Project Manager to support the delivery of new business projects for a leading insurance business, coordinating change from initiation through to implementation. You'll manage day-to-day project activity, dependencies, risks and stakeholder engagement across business and third-party teams to ensure new propositions, processes and operational capabilities land successfully and transition smoothly into BAU.

This is a 12-month FTC paying circa £60,000, depending on experience.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Producing PIDs, project plans, timelines, milestones and deliverables for new business initiatives, including all required governance
  • Coordinating business, operational, technology and third-party activity to deliver projects to agreed scope, time and budget
  • Managing risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies tied to product launch, process change and operational readiness - escalating where needed
  • Leading project governance, status reporting and stakeholder communications across sponsors, business teams and delivery partners
  • Managing third-party suppliers and delivery partners, with clear accountability and performance oversight against milestones, scope and quality
  • Ensuring project outputs support business readiness, customer outcomes, control requirements and quality standards
  • Working cross-functionally with distribution, operations, compliance and technology to remove blockers and keep delivery on track
  • Supporting implementation, post-launch review, lessons learned and handover into BAU

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
